Discover how four visionaries are redefining “waste” as a starting point for design, not an endpoint. Architect Otto Ng of LAAB shares how his studio crafts human-centred, circular interiors and spaces by treating discarded materials as resources. Arup’s Jasper Hilkhuijsen shows how circular thinking can reshape places, systems, and infrastructure, transforming public spaces and everyday life in Hong Kong. Designer–maker Niko Leung of TMML Studio shows how excess construction soil can become a meaningful new material. Material innovator Youyang Song, founder of Peelsphere, turns food-industry waste into next‑generation materials. Together, they unpack tangible projects—from reusing construction by‑products to transforming organic and industrial waste—offering designers, thinkers, and change‑makers practical cues for circular thinking across products, interiors, and cities.
