Upcycled Heartfold: Denim Cardholder Workshop
Calling all denim lovers! This Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day, our Upcycled Heartfold: Denim Cardholder Workshop is getting a romantic makeover! With heart-shaped templates and stylish new design options, you can turn leftover denim into a stylish cardholder. Bring your partner, family, or friends along to craft something meaningful together!
With support from SFAA, we’ll guide you step by step to repurpose deadstock denim provided by Prosperity Textile into a stylish and functional cardholder. Even if you’re new to crafting, don’t worry—our simple instructions make it easy for everyone to join in the fun.
To elevate your design, you’ll also get to use HMS’s eco-friendly “Hand Made Stone” — a sustainable alternative to conventional pumice, crafted from pumice dust and organic polymers. Just a gentle rub on the denim, and your cardholder will have a beautiful, natural, washed effect!

Workshop Rundown:
- Select denim fabrics and templates (5 mins)
- Choose from heart-shaped, rectangular templates, or customise your own design.

- Cut fabrics and polish with HMS stone pen (25 mins)
- Heat-press and assemble card holder (10 mins)
- Upcycled denim introduction and “Denim Futures” tour* (20 mins)

Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellations made after reservation or no show will not receive any refund or transfer.
- A full refund (less the administration fee) will only be made if the event is cancelled by The Mills Fabrica or does not take place due to uncontrollable factors, e.g. Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance, adverse weather.
- The Mills Fabrica reserves the right to reschedule the event due to uncontrollable factors, e.g. Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance, adverse weather. Alternatively, a full refund (less the administration fee) can be made.
- In case of any disputes, the decision of The Mills Fabrica shall be final.
Special arrangement for bad weather
- If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning is in force from 9:00 am, all workshops that were previously arranged on the day will be cancelled and will be rescheduled or refunded.
