Built in the 60s, Choi Hung Estate (literally means Rainbow Estate) has always been called “the most beautiful housing estate” because of its rainbow-coloured wall. No one knows for sure why there is a rainbow in the middle of the city, some say the estate designer was inspired by the rainbow after the rain above the Victoria Harbour. This is rather romantic isn’t it? These picturesque colourful squares brightened up mundane lives and probably romanticised many first dates. As city redevelopment is on its way, let’s capture the most beautiful memories of the most beautiful estate on the asymmetric socks, and treasure the good old times forever.
